Have you ever heard the saying “You will never be satisfied by work until you are satisfied by life?”

I discovered just how true this statement was as a remote professional who forgot how to have a life after college and 2020. Now, don’t get me wrong, I’m extremely grateful to be a remote professional with a fulfilling career that supports my life outside the office, but the only problem is I didn’t have a life outside the office. I desperately wanted friends who weren’t my coworkers, hobbies that didn’t involve Excel or Slack, and to be like those mythical people who had fun and interesting lives outside of their offices and careers.

Recently, I discovered those people aren’t mythical and actually do exist, and all I needed to become one was guidance and a bit of encouragement to step outside of the known – or embrace the unknown.
